am currently a lifeguard that has to deal with people who don’t listen to the rules. whenever people come in to enter the pool i have to tell them the rules before they go for a swim and it’s a nightmare for myself. i have to prep my mind and say what i’m gonna say in my head and just force myself to not get stuck, even when it feels like i’m about to stutter i just let it out without breathing between the words-only then can i take a deep breath after i finish saying the rules. you just gotta force yourself and learn how to cope with it, you’ll find ways to go around you getting stuck. just take a moment to think about what you’re going to say. also people are understanding (most of them) so you also have that, but they will also push you out of ur comfort zone. just be ready ❤️
