What is a dumb decision you made because of your stutter?

What is a dumb decision you made because of your stutter? I switched careers from finance to web development thinking that coding doesn’t involve much talking. Turned out coding involved as much talking as finance would and now i feel like i wasted time, money and energy on learning how to code when i could’ve just used my degree in finance and got way ahead in my career by now.
