Brother, everyone of us has gone through a phase of anger and hatred at the fact we were burdened with something so annoying in our lives. Speaking as a 24 year old man now, when I was 18 I felt the EXACT same way you are coming off in your post. I can’t give you sure fire way to fix it or make It better, I can’t give you an easy 5 step plan. But what I can give you is the hope that yes, it does get better. I went from being 5-19 with a severe stutter, could barely get a full sentence out to now finding ways to mask it, improve it and over all feel more confident about my speech pattern. I know you’ll hate to hear it and I don’t blame you, but it does get better, maybe not the stutter but you will.
