Updates on a date I posted here couple months ago about being nervous going on a date I wanna share with you guys how it went. A little background about me I have a stutter/blockage ever since I was 14 years old. I’ve always been very insecure about my speech and was never comfortable with it. I met this guy online and we clicked right away, we mostly used imessage to communicate because he knows I hate talking on the phone. We’ve talked about 3 times on the phone and I told him I sometimes stutter and he thinks it’s cute and no biggie. He lives in another state and we agreed to meet for the first time, he basically spent 2 days with me. Whole time I was nervous and hardly enjoying my time with him. At some point I became more relaxed around him and was enjoying myself. One thing I learned is that if someone truly likes you for who you are a stutter won’t bother them as you think. During the date(s) I’ve stuttered couple times and it did not bother him at all. It’s safe to say we became more close after hanging out and we’re planning on meeting again. My advice is that don’t let your stutter get in the way of meeting someone great! Remember if they like you for who you are they won’t be bothered by a stutter!!
