I’ve told this story before..... Had to give a presentation to VPs years ago. I stuttered horribly through the entire thing and wanted to crawl away. Years later, we had employee appreciation day where the VPs served us ice cream. They politely acknowledged everyone but then spoke to me using my name. Plus that experience helped me get the job I have now, which is a perfect fit. Stuttering has also made me a better presenter. Since I don’t want to stutter, I practice a lot, which trims them down and helps be more prepared with questions. So many people just wing presentations, which makes them ramble.
