" rewiring the brain with positive speech memories is brilliant" I agree. Problem: In my opinion 99% of stutterers just say positive affirmations. This will not reach fluency. Conclusion: As you have stated already, it's about replacing the fear (or better perceived stresses or expectation of stuttering). The end goal is stop your mind to look for a stutter, the rest doesn't matter. I'm basically saying that positive affirmations, breathing etc don't matter if you don't look for a stutter. If we want to imitate children that outgrow stuttering then we preferably want to do what they do like believing that you can speak fluently (which is basically the positive affirmations) and not using techniques. What is your opinion?
