What about making a head-up like 'Sorry I have a speech impediment(if you dare not claim you have a stuttering straightforwards then you can choose this kind of wording) and I can't speak normally' to your teacher privately by texting? I think if he/she can understand you very well, he/she will allow you to type your answers if can't then I am sorry for you gotta tackle this kind of troubles..
