>Instead of “oh no!”, you eventually switch to “that would suck if it happened”, to “if it happens it happens”, to not even thinking about it anymore. When I was younger, I barely thought about it. Even though I've stuttering since age 5. I was much more talkative then. This is what I'm trying to reach. I just don't know how to get there. Its tricky because of how thoughts work. They say its impossible to not think of something deliberately........this is the pink elephant problem in psychology. If someone tells you to not think of a pink elephant, its impossible to not think of it. But I know its possible, because when I was around 14, I was at my most talkative and after listening to recordings of myself talking from back then, I was 90% fluent. I might stutter one maybe 1 or 2 words within 1 minute of talking. >I’ll spontaneously ask someone a question perfectly, but if they didn’t hear me and say “what?”, I’m fucked. Haha this happens to me too. From one stutterer to another....it's one of the most enraging things about talking XD
