This is NOT true. It absolutely is recognized under the 1993 Americans with disabilities act. If I can remember right, they consider it a mental disability. I personally have "won" my social security disability case with no on going appeals, lawyers etc bc of my stutter. In addition, earlier this year an employer paid up $$ after the person interviewing me told me he couldn't hire me because my stutter. They wisely paid up and I had no lawyers etc, but tuuis absolutely falls under the 1993 disability act.
