I'm in Canada too. As far as speech therapy goes, have you tried applying for speech therapy in the public system? I went to one private session and it costs $100/hour. I had no coverage through my work, and couldn't afford more than one session. So I applied for speech therapy done at the local hospital. I had to wait about 4 months but I got in for a set amount of sessions. I think the therapist does an analysis and will give you as many sessions as they deem necessary. I'm not sure how all the provinces work but in Manitoba there are Regional Health Authorities. Look up on your RHA's website for speech therapists. You might have to wait a while but wont have to pay.
