For me putting myself in the situations which scare me helped. For instance presenting in front of a large group of people, asking questions in a big meeting room with 20-30 people in it, socializing with people I don't know really well. I am still a work in progress but the stutter has become less frequent. Also developing self-confidence, believing in myself that I am way better than who I think I am. All these are gradual changes which I am consciously trying to bring into my personality. My stuttering definitely stems from being low on confidence. So I am working towards that.
