To dovetail, there are many ways to work on self confidence. It helps a lot of you take care of your physical appearance: shower, exercise, eat right, even go thrifting for a new outfit. It always helps when you're not slightly disappointed whenever you look in the mirror. Another way is to do other things that make you feel confident... especially developing creative interests. For me it was social dancing (swing), but it could be anything (painting, music, etc).
