Honestly, I try not to pay much attention to that. Most of the time it is just an harmless reaction because people don't know how to react. It's hard to explain myself now, because English is not even my second language but try to understand me :) So in my experience, the people that openly laughed and hurt me because of my stutter where assholes. Not only to me but to other people as well. So when I think of that I feel more or less better because it is not because of my stutter they laugh but because they are just heartless jerks with no empathy.
