Well, stutter is able to vary a lot depending on what we're doing. I think some of what we experience is also down to our history - like, if you've had many bad cases in the past with uttering your name, that'll linger. It might make it more likely to have further issues. Some of this we can manage through working with our expectations, I think. The more we're familiar with ourselves, the less surprised we get. It might make us more relaxed in general, which isn't a bad thing when dealing with a stutter. We need more resources available than the average person. And of course, there are speech therapeutical methods for getting stuff out even though it tends to get stuck.
