I've gotten to the place where if I'm having trouble saying it, I'll stop and tell (or "self-advertise" to) the person something like, "I've got a stutter so sometimes saying my name is difficult," then it can either come out or if worst comes to worst, I wind up spelling it. For drive-thrus and such, I use my middle name since I just want my food, lol.
