Have an interesting plot line but have the main character have a stutter. You can throw in the issues of being a stutterer in the novel every now and then in the story. Think about how they respond to challenges and how other people respond to them for their difference. Explore the psychological aspect of a person who stutters and what kind of person it has led them to become. What are they working towards? A change within themselves? Etc
