That’s a very interesting angle, which in my experience has a lot of truth to it but I would think it mainly applies to those which a stutter that is underpinned by psychological and not physical triggers. Blocking being a stutter avoidance mechanism makes sense and thinking about it now it’s wild how the blocking becomes so much bigger than the stutter itself. I think the act of acknowledging that fact is a form of letting go and allows acceptance of your stutter, it’s a mental shift in perspective. But it’s easier said than done so how much help this concept is depends on how far along you are in the journey of understanding yourself and your stutter.
