That's good advice. I'm now 41 and still hate people finding out I have a stutter. Now, depending on the situation of course, I just flat our tell people because spend five minutes talking with me and they'll find out anyway. I just releaves the stress of it and when a word does get stuck, they know why. A couple of times people have mistakenly thought I was mentally handicapped. That was really hurtful, so telling people in advance has helped allay those misunderstandings as well.
