Hey. Firstly, I think that you shouldn't let your stutter completely impact your life choices. But at the same time, reality is reality and I agree with you that aiming at a career which is mostly based on speaking may not be the best move (unless you are so passionate about it that you are ready to take the risk and hustle). I'm sure there are many professions and jobs that don't requires much speaking. Things that pop to my head right now is: 1) Economy/CPA - Firstly, it is partly "science" and partly "academic", a nice balance you might like. Secondly, most of the time you are in front of Excel sheets. But there are times when you need to explain your findings or calculations, asking your clients for more data or consulting with your colleagues and supervisors. 2) Physical Work like welding, electricity, plumbing - Not require lots of speaking as long as it's not your business and you aren't closing with clients, might earn you a good money but they are really hard jobs.
