The professor actually reacted nicely, she did not let the quality of my speech to determine her judgement. I guess she really wanted me to perform because she believed my work was worth it… however since that time she actually agreed to grade me without public speaking. But the shame I felt really affected me... I really hope you get adjusted to the medication and feel better with time. To me, I still stutter, but since I have less anxiety over it, I can actually proceed with (almost) no self hate, and because I worry less, I stutter less… then also I don’t spend days analyzing my speech and worrying before any other upcoming speaking. I heard there is some development in the pharmaceutical treatment for us (i.e. ecopipam), so there is hope something other than ssri to be available some day.
