Mental Stutter/Lisp? Medication-Induced? I’m not sure if this is the right place for this, but I recently have started having difficulty with verbal fluency but only when I THINK words in my head, not when I say them out loud. I am not familiar with speech disfluencies so apologies if I say something ignorant or if I’m posting this in the wrong place. I recently changed some medications (added dextromethorphan daily dose, choline supplementation, and omega 3 supplementation) and this started shortly after that so I think it is probably related. I can speak just fine, and when I “mouth” the words as I think them I can think them fine too, but otherwise I seem to have difficulty with mentally pronouncing the sounds of Rs, Ts, SHs, THs, Ss, Chs, and Js. I have to slow down to think these sounds properly or SHs come out sort of like Ss and Rs like Ws. Does anyone have any kind of experience with anything like this?
