How do you handle anxiety? The main factor for why I stutter much more in conversations with unfamiliar people compared to familiar people (family/friends) is the extra anxiety I feel. For example, a job interview. I swear, the anxiety is THE reason for the increased level of stuttering. But the thing about anxiety is...it just pops up. How do you handle it? Or in other words, how do you try to maintain the same level of body tension in the outside world?
