Interestingly, I also struggle with the word "drie", but for me it's not just about the "D" sound, but the "dr" consonant cluster. I don't know if it would work for you, but what sometimes works for me is breaking the consonant cluster into two syllables. So, it's a little bit like "Duh - ree" for me, without pausing in between, and making the passage as soft as possible.
