There's likely a correlation, but it won't be proven to be causal. Also, the idea that ''your brain works slower'' feels unproven to me. In my exp as a person w/ASD it's often the opposite. ASD is comprised of what is included in the diagnostic criteria, and anything else isn't necessarily to do with ASD.
