Been there and actually done that. When I was a teen I was very ashamed (I still am ashamed, but much less now). I hated myself. I was mostly ashamed for what I felt was “less than” or “less intelligent” than others. I haven’t done therapy or friends or anything like that. I’ve found a few things in life that make me happy and those are the things that I do. I try not to do anything I don’t want to do or be around any negative people (family or not). Pretty much I do only what makes me happy. I’m still alive and decently happy. I guess that’s a good thing?
