It’s not easier to spell out most times, unfortunately! I’m sure it’ll get easier as I figure out a cadence to lead up to it. And tbh I find disclosing my stuttering takes less time and is less stressful than wondering what’s going through the person’s head when I’m having an ugly silent block. Especially the case if I can’t avoid a phone call – have gotten “Hello? Hello?” while I’m practically asphyxiating (the worst!!) so I just mention it straight away.
