My ex speech therapist told me praying more will fix my stutter The session was set up by my very Christian mother who told me me God gave me a stutter because he knew I would say too many bad things. The speech therapist basically told me I am more sensitive than the average person and that is causing my stutter. His cure? Praying. That was my last session, of course. I am very happy to say that now I have a proper speech therapist that actually teaches me about techniques that help me in day to day life, and also helps me heal from the mindset that my stutter is God’s way of preventing me to sin. Just wanted to share my experience, there are good and bad therapists.
