There was an episode of the stutter talk podcast years ago that talked about something like this. Do you know the stuttering iceberg analogy? (much of the impact of stuttering is not observable, but is "under the surface" much like most of an iceberg is under the surface") So, they made a joke that the goal is to become like stuttering styrofoam -- the only impact of stuttering is the behavior of stuttering without the cognitive-emotional components mixed in.
