There is a poll where stutterers voted, that if they are not thinking about stuttering and pronunciation, then they don't (or much reduced) stutter. Also, I think taking a breath is about reducing fear. "It was rather difficult since my brains been wired to focus on what my mouth is doing to push past a stutter." How did you overcome this difficulty? What were your obstacles of moving your attention away from your articulation?
