I can see your take on that, however, personally, I don't think "fluency enhancing" mechanical training should not be promoted. When it helped, share your journey. Biasing stuttering as something, that is "bad" in the sense that fluent speech would be "better" is unproblematic in my opinion as most of us strive to become fluent speakers (thereby crediting suttering as worse than fluent speech ourselves). But, demoting your self-worth due to stuttering is problematic - you should not attach your speech impediment to your slef worth or limit your vision of yourself due to it. I would say, when a programm advocates for "fixing" stuttering, it needs to deliver the correct framework of thoughts accompanying indulging in it to a stutterer. It should enable him to work on his block, prolongations, etc. without creating pressure to perform or self-hate due to the inability to speak fluiently.
