I am also a 20M. I have a very similar relationship with stuttering, being that it’s not overt in my speech. I found that tricks like DAF work in the short-term, but they don’t always work in every circumstance and that can be crippling to your confidence. I’ve found that embracing the stutter to myself has made the most change in my relationship with my speech. Most MATURE ADULTS don’t notice it, or won’t think much of it, so why should we? It seems very counter-intuitive that embracing your stutter as a part of you can actually reduce it’s frequency, but it has worked with me and many other people. If you ever wanna talk more about stuttering with someone your age, lmk. I hardly know anyone who stutters and that seems to be the case with most stutterers.
