Im 27 years old. I've had a stutter since I was 8 or so. Ive never once thought that I couldnt create my own happiness. I've found people who dont care about my stutter and they are some of my best friends. If you're finding it hard to connect with people because they dismiss you because of your stutter, just know that one sure fire way to weed out the shitty people in your life. I'll admit that it is very hard to make friends or a SO with a stutter but it is not impossible. I think that I am living proof of that. Last thing I'll leave you with is you need to practice your speech if you want to become confident and happy with your future. (Work on your anxiety, ask people in the grocery store where a item is even if you know, comment on someones outfit that you like. From there work your way up to larger convos) People are going to dismiss you a lot. People are going to ignore you a lot. People are going to treat you like you are stupid. But then again these are the people who are already shitty in their own right, and you dont want anything to do with them. Everyone here can be happy. I promise.
