tongue tie correlation with stutter?

tongue tie correlation with stutter? So I was at the dentist today and all went well, but when she finished cleaning my teeth she asked if I had difficulty pronouncing any sounds or words. I told her I had a stutter, and she said that a part under my tongue is very short and surgery could fix it. I'm kind of skeptical about it, as I don't think this is the reason for my stutter. What do you guys think?
