Yeah that’s very true, the statement I made was very broad but I just wanted to offer up what helped me. I’m not saying I’m 100% correct. I think it has to do more with material possessions and maintaining a reputation more than anything else. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be fluent, but you should be doing it for the right reasons. I know I can work on mine to release tension to help so it’s not as exhausting for me, but it’s much much deeper than just the stutter itself, which is what i’m personally working on. We’re all on our own path and we have the choice to do what we want, but I just think fitting in is insanely overrated. I’d rather be my authentic self and find the right people for me.
