They have helped me in the past but only because it reduced my associated social anxiety caused by stuttering. The meds that worked were very addictive and even though they did help in some situations I found addiction to these meds was worse and associated withdrawal. To summarise, the meds helped me 'forget' bad stuttering incidents and not dwell on those incidents as much which helped lower anxiety around stuttering. However, I had some bad side affects including addiction. I appreciate though that everyone reacts to meds differently
