stuttering terminology So, next Monday I am giving a TED talk at my company about stuttering/hidden diversity, and an interesting recent issue that came up is stuttering terminology. Is "speech impediment" considered an inappropriate phrase to use now? Is it out-dated? What about "stutterer" vs. "person who stutters"? I'm a person who stutters but I use all these words interchangeably without thinking twice about it, but I don't want to offend anyone else in the audience. Thanks, appreciate your thoughts!
