Guys I genuinely believe I found a heal for my blocks (upvote this asap to help as many people as possible) Ok guys I am 20m who has been having blocks ever since I was 9-10. My blocks are not severe. It’s like playing roulette, sometimes it shoots out all the words I intent, or sometimes it jams and I get stuck. So last night I was just thinking to myself of ways to talks. And Ik what u guys might be thinking “this is complete bs, fuck this guy!”. I am like u guys, I hate it when someone gets our hopes up. But I can’t keep this to myself. But since last night and this morning, I have been talking to my mother for soooo long and without stuttering. Bro when I tell you I feel like a new man it’s insane, it’s very exciting, so what I have been doing is speaking like a robot. I will go in depth, ik u guys might be thinking, “why tf would I wanna speak like a robot, that’s even worse than stuttering”. But what I do is for the words Ik I am comfortable that I won’t have blocks at, I speak with my normal voice. BUT whenever Ik I will have a block, I speak like a robot. You guys might also question “wdym speak like a robot, explain”. I will explain in an example. So this example will be “this summer I will be attending my graduation and I will be inviting all my family”. Ok that’s the example so now I will tell u how it works for me. Trust me guys I wouldn’t post on reddit if I wasn’t confident. Robot speaking: this. sum mer. I. Will. Be. A.ten.ding. My. Gra.du.a.tion. And. I. Will. Be. In.vi.ting. All. My. Fa.mi.ly. It’s not quite robot speaking but I like to call it that way, your basically sounding out each syllable a word has. As my stutter isn’t severe. I will show u how I would speak with that example I showed. My version speaking: this sum.mer. I will be. A.ten.ding. My gra.du.ation. And I will be in.vi.ting. All my fa.mi.ly. It all differs for each person. But guys this genuinely works for me so far. Ik it’s early days. But I can’t keep this excitement in me. I prayed and wished for a day like this to come that I can have fluency. I truly do hope this helps some of u guys. And if it doesn’t, I apologise for wasting your time and energy. Just wanted to share my personal experience as a stutterer who may have found a way of fluency. Also im not saying to speak like a robot, I’m saying to space each word into parts like a robot would stereotypically do. Upvote this as much as you guys can so this reaches everybody in this community. It might no work for you. But it may work for someone else and it may help someone’s life, like it’s helping mine.
