I’m 22 years old now, and I have a moderate stutter as well. As you know, growing up with any kind of stutter sucks. There’s no sugarcoating that. However, one good thing is that your kid has a parent that understands what stuttering is like and that can empathize with them. My parents were there for me as best as they could be and are amazing, but they don’t stutter, so they could never 100% relate. With the support you’re giving him and with the interventions he’s getting, he has the potential to have a good future, even if he does continue stuttering.
