>Stutter is just a catch-all word for many different speech related issues Well this kinda isn't true. Stuttering is only used to describe a certain type of speech issue. Primarily difficulty coordinating the motor movements of speech. You'll find that no matter the cause, whether it be stroke, genetic or trauma related, the symptoms will be see same. Like experiencing blocks, repetitions or prolongations in speech. There's different terms to describe other speech issues like aphasia, dysphasia and lisp to name a few.
