Is this the first time you are experiencing such blocks and fear of stuttering? If so, can you think of the first time you experienced such premonition w.r.t. stuttering on the words? Stuttering is a reinforcing habit. A word carries a lot of stigma and stutterer's like soothsayers can mostly see their stuttering coming, since they already "know" or have themselves convinced that they shall stutter on the particular word. I would say you try and approach these two particular blocks from a more psychological point of view rather than medication. Medication shall help you say "resident" and "medicine" right now but the stuttering might reappear on other words. There is a reason why people stutter on their names. There is a stigma associated with it and there is no alternate to it. So maybe I'll not be able to say "mulloverit" today and change it to "Sam" and be able to say that fluently. BUT, inevitably, I shall find myself stuttering on "Sam" too, soon. I reiterate my question, is this your first experience with stuttering?
