Its always great when someone is understanding of a stutter. I used to do political fundraising (the job that really helped me to gain confidence with my stutter) and one of the most positive interactions I ever had was with a woman who ended up contributing because I had a stutter, and it made her think of her son who also stuttered. She said that she was so impressed that I was out there not giving a shit about it that she couldn't not write a check.
