You are so smart. There is new research in medically treating stuttering. The drug(s) are undergoing clinical trial at NIH.us.gov. Stutterers who have Tourette’s Syndrome and are successfully treated with medication, have drastically reduced stuttering. Not all stuttering is so obviously medically related, some causes are emotional. Nevertheless, these next 10 years will prove fertile to the understanding and treatment of this perplexing disorder.
