Too Late for Speech Therapy / Seeing Results? Hi all, I am 24 years old and will be turning 25 in two months. I’ve had a moderate to severe stutter all my life and most recently it’s been quit severe. Ever since I was 5 years old, I have gone to speech therapy on and off and last time I received therapy was 2 years ago, but stopped going due to my health insurance expiring. I finished college this last summer and Recently, I decided it’s time to 1000% work on my speech and find a therapist that I can work with to achieve my desired fluency results. My questions is - Is it too late for me to go to speech therapy and ACTUALLY see results? I ask this since I see people on this forum say that once the brain has fully developed (by age 25) it’s too late and that the way you speak now is how you’ll speak for the rest of your life. I look forward to reading everyone’s thoughts / comments mets. Thank you!!
