I stuttered for nearly all my teens to this day, and I'm in the Canadian Armed Forces at 28 y/o. At first I thought my stutter would be something that would hinder my ability to serve my country, don't know why, but I enrolled and here I am 6 yrs in and still loving it. Of course, I had to take the trade that does A LOT of briefings (didn't know that at the time). My team are aware of this "disability", which they were really supportive of. Every so often they give me the chance to speak to the team to teach tools, give small briefs, etc. all to help me overcome this fear, which is The Fear of Stuttering, as someone in the comments mentioned. Opportunities are out there, my friend.
