Thanks for reply! I was doing the same thing in my undergrad and never had any issues with professors for doing it. Though I would always tell them about my stutter face to face to let them see firsthand that I wasn't just trying to get out of participating haha. They were generally super understanding and some even had curiosity questions about my stutter. That's a huge relief knowing that tactic can still carry over into law school!
