I stutter moderately. I can't get my name out when asked and struggle to speak. A friend of mine has a much more severe stutter. Like drooling, nearly seizure looking. A drive thru once called the police on him for suspected impaired driving. Police came and he could barely even get out that he just had a speech impediment. That said - he works for the school board and a law office. He has had to participate in school assemblies in front of the school, and talk in front of classes. Highschool students at that. I don't know how he does it but I have utmost respect and envy of him. His law office job he does IT on evenings and weekends. But hes fully passed those interviews, which were several for each. I was very worried for him as he showed up to my house after the school interview (hes been there about 15 yrs) an anxious sweaty mess with visible sweat stains on his suit and struggling to tell me about it. But he got it. It is possible. If you feel you can do the job, go for it. I admire him. With my moderate stutter I find it hard to even go in public and converse with people
