>When I pushed myself to achieve, I became incredibly unhappy, and filled with self-doubt. It destroyed my self-confidence, and made me feel as though I was nothing more than a horribly incompetent person. I have also experienced this, and not necessarily because of stuttering. It's just a way of being that doesn't gel with me. >if you’d rather not have to push yourself every single day, forcing yourself to perform uncomfortable tasks which turn you into a self-doubting ball of stress, then that is okay too Absolutely! There is no benefit to creating undue stress. Much of society wants us to constantly push to achieve some lofty goal, have some kind of hustle, but it's fine to just have a relatively stress-free job to pay the bills.
