I work in the call center industry, so talking is my job. I'm in management, so presenting with all eyes on me is a regular thing. I have an imperceptible to major stutter (as always with us stutterers, depends on the day). Any time I have an interview, meet with leadership, present, whatever, I say something along the lines of this: "Before we begin, I'd like to let you know that I have a speech impediment which causes me to stutter. It can present itself at any point in the conversation for any reason or no reason at all. If I do stutter or it seems like I'm struggling on a word all I ask for is your patience while I work through it. If you have any questions about stuttering after we finish up here I'm happy to answer any." It gives people an understanding that you're not stuttering because you're nervous, it's just how you speak and that WHAT you say is more important than how. I also absolutely encourage you to read [Self-Therapy for the Stutterer](https://www.stutteringhelp.org/Portals/English/book0012_11th_ed.pdf) by Malcolm Fraser, which is hosted for free on The Stuttering Foundation's website.
