I've been working as a software engineer for 10 years and also have a view on the current job market with regards of AI for coding. It's kinda better than other careers as you may opt for a more technical path with less exposure to public speaking. But in most cases you would still have to communicate with your team. That's kinda okay because developers are mostly chill and having a good team by definition requires acceptance, so I haven't had any problems with team communication because of my stutter. But further ahead in your career you would have more responsibilities potentially discussing architecture decisions with stakeholders, or leading teams. But still you should be able to win on merit and skill. Regarding the future of "coding", better check the subreddit for it. The job is changing. In my opinion to be employable in the future you need to have a core interest for problem solving and technology. Ask me anything.
