For me personally, once I stopped caring what people thought of my stutter and started showing people the real me they didn’t care. I have a good circle of friends, some recent and some built on years, once someone gets to know you the stutter doesn’t even matter anymore. My partner and I have been together for a little more than 2 years, i used to ask him if my stutter bothered him or look at me differently, he said he stopped thinking about it once we started dating. Anyone whose actually had the balls to pick on me for my stutter is almost IMMEDIATELY shut down by my friends or even myself. It truly is how you carry yourself and how you present yourself to others.
